Okay. Guess I have to take her word for it. I don’t know, I’ve not seen it. No idea what she, and others, have dug up, really, from this blog or elsewhere. Stormy admits her tactics were low, but ends with a threat.
This isn’t bashing, this is saying what, due to the closed thread, I cannot say there. This is me defending myself, like I did in response to the G’berg post, like I’ve been doing for the last few days over there, like I am doing right now.
And I guess this, hopefully, will be the last thing I have to stay on it.
Stop threatening me. You got what you wanted, I agreed to stop bashing. I have. Your side has not. You can say how horrible whatever it is you have on me is, that it would discredit me, so on, as much as you want. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn’t. I don’t know. You talk of what side has been the bullies, and what side has not, but I am willing to bet each side sees the others as bullies. Chances are we ALL have been. No side is fully guilty or innocent. You’ve gone to a lot of trouble to gather info on me, and secretly I suspect you are just itching to use it. I also have reason to believe, via your own words, you’ve already shared much of it amongst yourselves. I can even think of some things, namely on my old LJ that I did lie about…namely my name, city where I lived & age. Stoning offense right there, I am sure. I was, oddly enough, most paranoid about people knowing a whole lot of my basic information for fear of stalkers and other such things. Seems my paranoia was justified. I don’t like being under threat. I won’t bash, but I am not going to live in fear of what you and your friends have managed to piece together and put out there to discredit me.
So, I will leave it with this. Hey all, this is what I look like without the eyes blacked out.

Knock yourselves out. Should “the collated files” be made public, I’ll be happy to discuss them, after all, I don’t know what all is there, how much of it is true, where it’s from, so on, so forth. And should that happen, well, I guess I’ll have to take it from there.
So be it, I guess.
Like I said, I will leave you alone, if you do the same, and thus far, some of you are not really doing a great job of it.

Why even bother making deals with these folks??? You give them an inch -- actually, more like a foot -- and they simply use it to kick your behind over and over again. You have bent over backwards to keep them off you, yet they simply exploit your "weakness" to pile more crap on to you.
You've handled this with considerably more grace and style and mutuality than anyone could ever expect of you. And what is their response to that?? Just more of the same bullcrap.
The way I see it, these..."ladies" are simply beyond and beneath contempt. They are simply terrorists and bullies, and should be handled in the same way a school bully should be treated: by the good guys and dolls collectively getting together and giving them the beatdown they deserve. (Figuratively speaking, of course.)

We have all learned alot from your honesty and candor in a difficult situation, Ren.
Something I think worth mentioning: the idea that your friends would drop you if they found out some deep dark secret of yours: BULLSHIT!
We aren't the people who dump our friends when they change their opinions on an issue. We aren't the people who ridicule and patronize those who have beliefs that differ from our own.
Just FYI:
1. The defendant threatened to accuse another of a crime or to expose a secret or publicize an asserted fact, whether true or false, tending to subject the other party to hatred, contempt, or ridicule or to impair the reputation of the other party;
2. The defendant did so with the specific intent to obtain property of another or cause another person to do or refrain from doing any act.
That is the legal definition of blackmail in one jurisdiction. I'm sure it is similar in most. What Stormy is doing is a crime by that definition. She can pull out all the dictionaries she wants, so long as it meets the elements above, the crime is established. Btw, it is a felony. And she need not reveal anything. Just the threat of it completes the crime.

I must admit I am curious about what exactly they think that you could have said in the past that would somehow shame you in front of your compadres. It's not like we don't know what you do for a living, or that you have a temper, so...what the hell is she on about?

I'm very sorry if any of this touches your family or offline friends but "Publish and be damned!" (and/or pursuing legal measures) seems to me to be the best way to face down this sort of threat.
Personally, from reading through that thread (admittedly not every word... whew), it would appear that it doesn't much matter what you do - if you hold to our promise (that was extracted from you under threat), or if you do not. The end result would be the same, as I get the impression that it's the idea of holding power over you, of squeezing you and bending you (unwillingly) to the will of another that is the source of much pleasure for some.
Through the entire thing I kept imagining you with a boot on your neck.
I don't think about radfems from one month to the next, and I guess it's just my good fortune that when I *do* come across them, they are either spewing vitriolic hatred for some group of women (including trans), or they are threatening women with harm if they don't toe some theoretical line.
It's possible that I would be receptive to some of their theories, but I don't make common cause with bigots of any sort, no matter how much we might agree on other things.
I probably need some sort of aversive anti-radfeminism intervention or something, though, so that I can be convinced that, truly, they are not all wack. ;)

You’re a real piece of shit. You also broke the law, even if Ren's information was out there. Like it or not, in many jurisdictions, what you've done, especially with the worded threat, is illegal. You whine and moan about Genderberg, and information from that forum which was handed to Ren, yet you felt the need to dig and organize and search through her blog(s) and photos? With your friends? Like a stalker, a predator? You know, you better keep your little file safe and sound, because Ren could, were she so inclined, make your life a living hell legally and sue you for a whole lot of money. Maybe it would teach you a much-needed lesson:
Just because someone disagrees with you and picks on you or fans flames in a blog war, just because she hates your politics and made a circus out of some stupid post of yours, that gives you no right whatsoever to stalk and threaten them. She could do the same to Pony, for lying about her as well, and no one would care how private the forum where the information came from, because it was given to her by a member. If those photos come out, even this one she just posted, she, her employers, her photographer, whoever has legal rights to them, could also sue you.
So while you could possibly destroy her credibility here, she could legally destroy a lot more than that for more than a few of you. How does that sound? Criminal records, monetary loss, jail time? No threat here Stormy, it’s a potential legal reality.
You might want to keep that in mind.

That, however, she explained on another blog while under attack by Pony and others. She is also now apparently doing porn for pay…so? No great anomalies there, Stormcloud. Oh, and she claimed never to have been abused sexually, and stated that abuse did not make her get into her business, and that she had never been abused by a man. She had an abusive ex-girlfriend. No anomaly there either. This leads me to believe you want her, and all of us, to think whatever you have is way worse than it really is, and really, should it come out, who could ever trust the information gathering team and editor anyway?
