Do you ever have one of those days where you just wake up snarky and surly and cynical? I’m having one of those. I slept horrible last night, it’s pouring rain today, my skin is dry and itchy…and it’s still spring allergy season.
Oh yeah, and people annoy me. So, being that I’m in a mood, I’m going to take that mood and opportunity to be…well, snarky, surly and cynical.
First, I want to point out a cool post, by Trinity, over here. Okay, the nice and complimentary moment has now passed. Wave bye-bye!
Right then. Feminists. Porn. The UK law. Much talk about it in lots of places…including those places, which hey, I freely admit to reading…unlike some folk who swear they never look at the sex pozzie/porn apologist/ evil sellout blogs…yet oddly enough, seem to know everything that’s going on with them. Funny that, it must be nice to be psychic and or omniscient! Anyway.
Porn is bad, y’all. All of it. Every woman in porn is getting raped. She’s probably drugged up/underage/a victim of life long abuse/stupid as hell/and has no other options at all, too. And anyone who watches porn is irrevocably fucked up, a menace to society, and should be locked away/put down or some other such drastic measure…not only if they watch the extreme stuff, but especially if they watch the extreme stuff…because there is no way…absolutely no way in hell that any woman, straight, gay, bi, whatever, might dig some knife play or getting stuffed with a whole lotta cock (real or synthetic) or goin’ at it all crazy rough or BDSM like. Subs? Brainwashed. Dommes? Fooling themselves. Kinky? Another way to say men getting off on female humiliation. Ipso-facto, by default, no matter what….cause you know, these women know! They know what every woman likes or wants. They do they do. Just ask ‘em. If you disagree about what you like? Well, not only are you wrong…you’re fucked up, brainwashed, an idiot…and possibly, you should be euthanised, because, you know, you’re dangerous to women or something. Oh, and there is no porn out there that could possibly truly appeal to women, even if it is dykes for dykes porn, or woman made, directed, written, produced, based solely on women’s fantasies, featuring realistic and various natural body types, with pubic hair, and involves no erections or penetration at all. Women just don't work that way. They just don't like it! Porn is a man thing, no matter what. They know!
So yeah, I want to play a little game. I know it’s early in the morning for that, but trust me sports fans, it’s really sort of grimly amusing.

These same feminists spend a whole lot of time judging women for any action or alterations they make with their bodies, outright insulting people’s appearances, and mocking rituals/styles of dress they don’t approve of. They also feel free to decree what women…the tribe and all…can and cannot enjoy sexually and dismiss nay Sayers wholesale.
Certain Feminists: Porn degrades women.
These same feminists degrade women who do not agree with them about porn, sexuality not approved by these certain feminists, and those who for whatever reasons do not have a wholly anti sex work stance.
Certain Feminists: Porn propagates lies about women.
So do certain feminists.
Certain Feminists: We have the concerns of women at heart.
Only if they agree with you- otherwise- those women are brainwashed tools and receive subhuman status.

You care about sex workers so much that you oppose them having legal rights, better working conditions, access to condoms, equal treatment under the law, and actively decry anyone who works for these things as pimps, liars, or enablers. Oh, and you care about the ones who say what you want to hear, until they stop, then, you toss them aside and slander them. Hell, most of you won't even call them sex workers even if they repeatedly say that is what they prefer to be called!
Certain Feminists: Porn & Sex Work Stereotype women and make all women seem available or useable, willingly and eagerly, for sex.
Humm, so…all men hate women, all men are entitled assholes, all men are scum, all men are stupid, so on, are not stereotypes? How about all women who don’t agree with you are wrong, damaged, stupid, sell outs, whatever….?

Did the entire female populace of the world have an election and give you that honor and duty? Humm, never got my ballot.

We’re not much of a thinking species. Usually, we first have a feeling about something, and then look for rational arguments to support it. Often enough, such argumentation only looks logical to people who share our feelings. That way, we get Melissa Farley using the fact that sex workers have no rights as an argument to deny sex workers any rights. And we get sex workers wondering why they don’t get support from other women while banging their husbands. Don’t get me wrong, I think banging other people’s spouses should be fully legal and subsidized by the Government. After all, it’s adult people making free choices, and governments should support free choice. I just believe the debate has more to do with basic emotions like jealousy and suppressing sexual competition than with finding what’s best for women.

Personally, I could care less what you wear. Hey, run through the streets naked if that's what pulls your trigger! I certainly would if I could get away with it!
