An Open Letter To Cheryl Seelhoff:

You amuse me, you know that right? I know you read here, and since you’re too fucking pathetic to actually publish comments from people you find icky on your blog, I figured I might as well just do this here.

Now, your chastising of Jill was quite an entertaining read…I mean, how dare she associate with the likes of me, right? How dare she let someone like me blog at Feministe and such, right? How dare she not see me as the dangerous and destructive animal you see me as, right? Bad Jill, no creds. And oh, I know, the company I keep! How shocking! Pornographers and people into BDSM and…gasp…dungeon masters (roflmao, for real…the only “dungeon masters” I hang with are the ones who get real pissed if you continually roll natural twenties and seemingly have an endless supply of fireball spells ready).

And really, I have to say, my blog here, it’s not exactly some Orwellian thing like the Ministry of Love. I’m not converting the masses to the perverted path of Gonzo Righteousness, or torturing them for failure to comply with engagement in the type of sex and sexuality I prefer. I’m not telling people to make or watch pornography, or that they have to like it. There is none of that going on here, Cheryl. I mean, come on…

I mean sure, I talk about porn a lot. I also talk about a lot of other shit, from football to law to media to...er...gladiators and writing and art. My LJ? And for the record, Cheryl, I have never filmed or been in a scene which included rape, torture, or murder. Ever. Porn that actually depicts things akin to rape, torture and murder is not nearly as prevalent and popular as you would like to make the world believe. I’m gonna re-write this with, oh, some actual truth: “So when I encounter women who have allied themselves with working, Jewish, heterosexual men who have been there for them throughout some truly hellish shit, but happen to be affiliated with Hustler and who make statements that they, personally, enjoy brutal sex but say everyone else should do it how they prefer, have never said torture is a good time, when I encounter women who agree with, well, pretty much no one but do think a woman has a right to sell sex if she chooses to do so, I’m calling it out publicly to make myself look great and her look like a fucking animal, even if the woman in question does not identify as a feminist.”

“When I encounter women who do this for free because it’s just so damn much fun, guaranteed, I’m calling that out.”
